Guide to Wedding Booth Backdrops
Our guide to wedding booth backdrops covers style, scale and placement, helping couples create a refined photo moment that feels polished.
Choosing a wedding booth backdrop starts with the photographs you want and the booth you are hiring. A background that suits an attended colour booth may not be right for a controlled black-and-white portrait setup. This guide explains MooMuu’s product differences and the practical checks to make before confirming your choice.
Bring a few favourite reference images, but also look at photographs of the actual options available. The aim is a portrait area that feels at home in your venue and gives guests enough space to enjoy it.

What backdrop comes with each MooMuu booth?
Signature GLAM: black or white
Signature GLAM uses a clean black or white backdrop with professional photography, controlled lighting and bespoke monochrome image processing. Compare examples of both backgrounds before deciding. Prints, digital sharing and an attendant during the agreed operating period are included.
Luxury Oak: choose an available backdrop or flower wall
The Luxury Oak Booth includes a choice of backdrop or flower wall. Ask which options are available for your date and package. It offers attended colour photography, personalised prints, digital sharing and a rear touchscreen gallery.
ICON: agree the backdrop with the setup
A backdrop is recommended for the ICON Booth. Discuss available choices and confirm the selected option in the quotation. ICON includes attended photography, prints and digital sharing, with a large interactive rear gallery that also needs room for guests to use it.
Digital Booth: a separate backdrop is not standard
The Digital Booth does not include a large freestanding backdrop as standard. Ask about available background options or share a proposed venue background for review. Digital Booth is self-service and print-free, with delivery, installation, testing, collection and remote support; an attendant does not normally remain on site.
Match the background to the photographic finish
Choose through image examples, not a material name alone. Plain backgrounds keep attention on faces and clothing, while flowers or texture add detail to the frame. Compare what the camera sees as well as how the backdrop looks across the room.
Reflective finishes can catch the booth lighting, and a busy pattern may compete with people in the photograph. Share material samples or clear reference pictures before ordering something bespoke. GLAM’s black or white portrait backdrop should not be swapped for a scenic or reflective background without agreement.
For inspiration, our 12 wedding backdrop ideas distinguish available product options from separately supplied styling concepts.
Plan the width, height and guest area together
The backdrop is only part of the footprint. Its supports, the booth, lighting, people posing, print collection and any queue all need room. A wider background alone does not establish how many guests can use the booth at once.
Send room photographs or a floor plan, ceiling height, proposed position and the route from unloading to the room. Keep exits, doors and service routes clear, and allow access to the rear galleries on Luxury Oak and ICON.
Luxury Oak equipment cannot be carried up or down stairs. Tell MooMuu about steps and any proposed lift or ramp route before booking. Final dimensions and access requirements must suit the chosen setup.

Separate the booth backdrop from additional styling
MooMuu does not supply props. If you plan to bring your own accessories, discuss their suitability and placement before the event.
Custom draping, florals, arches, scenery and venue decorations are not automatically included in photo-template personalisation. For anything supplied by your florist, stylist or venue, agree who delivers, installs, secures and removes it, and when. MooMuu needs to check the finished arrangement around the photographic equipment.
You can also personalise the keepsake itself. Names, dates and wedding artwork on an agreed print or digital design may provide the connection to your stationery without adding another physical installation.
Confirm lighting, power and timing
Share the room’s daylight and evening-lighting plans, including windows, DJ lighting and any nearby decorative lights. A backdrop choice does not remove the need to plan the photographic lighting.
GLAM is primarily an indoor experience. Any proposed fully enclosed, weatherproof structure needs prior agreement on flooring, power and lighting. Outdoor arrangements for other booths also need to be checked individually.
Agree installation and collection access separately from guest operating hours. Before confirming, make sure the quotation identifies the booth, chosen backdrop, timings, output and any separately supplied styling.
Check your backdrop plans with MooMuu
Compare the booth options, then tell us about your wedding setup. Share your date, venue, guest numbers, preferred booth and any backdrop references. We can help check suitability before you commit to the styling.
