How to Run a Branded Photo Booth Activation
Run a branded photo booth activation with MooMuu: choose the format, approve artwork, plan staffing and test the guest journey before your event.
To run a branded photo booth activation, agree the guest experience, creative design and practical delivery before the event. A clear brief helps everyone understand what guests will do, what they will receive and how the activity supports your campaign.
This is a working plan for a MooMuu activation, from choosing a format to collecting the agreed outputs. Branding, operating hours, staffing and any optional data capture should be confirmed in your proposal rather than assumed.
1. Define the purpose and audience
Choose one main objective: a guest keepsake, a creative campaign interaction, a shared artwork or an opportunity for a relevant conversation. Decide what a useful result looks like without promising a fixed number of leads or social shares.
Include the date, venue, audience, expected footfall, stand dimensions and operating window. For an exhibition, tell us about likely busy periods between sessions as well as the overall visitor estimate.
2. Select the right MooMuu format
For a hosted photo experience, compare the ICON Booth, Luxury Oak and Signature GLAM. Agree the keepsakes, print format and digital delivery with the package. GLAM is a photographic black-and-white look, not an AI transformation.
The Digital Booth is self-service and print-free, with no standard on-site attendant. It creates photographs, GIFs, boomerangs and short videos; plan connectivity for immediate sharing.
For artwork, AI Sketch Bots physically draw portraits on paper. Mosaic Wall Live includes an ICON Booth and printed photo tiles for a physical build. The separate Digital Mosaic accepts QR or link uploads and builds on screen. Select the output your audience will value, not simply the longest feature list.
3. Approve the creative before production
Supply your logo, brand guidance, campaign wording and any approved artwork. Agree the available branding surfaces and file specifications for the chosen format. Screen design, photo templates, physical graphics and custom scenery are different items; confirm what is included.
Review a sample with realistic portraits or group sizes. Check readable text, cropping, logo space and the intended print or digital format. Agree who signs off the artwork and when changes must be final. Our photo booth branding guide covers that review in more detail.
4. Confirm the venue and guest flow
Share loading access, setup and collection times, floor level, power and internet information. The space needed for a booth includes guests, an accessible approach and collection, not only the equipment.
Keep the queue inside your agreed area and clear of exits, service routes and neighbouring stands. Discuss seated participation and assistance needs early. Outdoor or unusual installations need a separately agreed suitability check.
5. Give each team a clear role
Identify who operates the experience, who welcomes visitors and who handles your brand or sales conversations. MooMuu’s agreed technical or hosting support is not a substitute for your product specialists.

For Digital Booth, nominate a venue or organiser contact who can reach the agreed remote support. For Digital Mosaic, specify attended or remotely monitored delivery and its operating window. Avoid assuming all products have identical staffing.
6. Test the complete journey
Before guests arrive, check the instructions, capture, approved branding and output delivery. Test any campaign link on a phone. Agree the approach to interrupted connectivity and make sure the collection point is easy to find.
If optional data capture is included, test the approved fields and preferences separately from image delivery. Use the corporate data-capture guide when briefing the people responsible for privacy and follow-up.
7. Review and hand over the agreed outputs
During the event, watch for unclear instructions or queues that interfere with useful conversations. Afterward, confirm how the organiser receives approved files, any agreed reports and the final artwork. Note download deadlines rather than assuming permanent gallery access.
Keep the measures distinct: photo sessions are not unique visitors, downloads are not verified public shares, and participation alone is not a qualified lead. Record the actual outcome against the original brief and decide what to improve at the next event.
