8 Interactive Installations for Galas: A Practical Guide
Eight MooMuu formats for galas, charity balls and awards evenings, compared by guest activity, output and the practical details to agree.
A gala installation gives guests something to do between arrivals, dinner and the final dance. The useful question is not which option looks biggest: it is whether you want portraits, individual artwork or a shared picture that develops during the evening.
These eight MooMuu formats suit different briefs. Choose a shortlist around your running order, available space and preferred guest output, then confirm the specification and availability for your event.

1. AI Sketch Bots: watch a portrait being drawn
AI Sketch Bots use robotic arms to draw guest portraits with real pen on paper. Watching the drawing is part of the activity, and the paper portrait becomes the keepsake. Agree the drawing style, number of bots and operating hours; the time per drawing affects capacity. This is robotic artwork, not a live human illustrator.
2. Photo Mosaic Wall: build a physical shared image
A Photo Mosaic Wall combines individual photo tiles into a larger chosen picture or brand image. It gives a charity ball or company celebration a shared project. Agree the target artwork, contribution route, wall position and completion plan, including what happens to the finished piece after the event.
3. Digital Mosaic: put the shared picture on screen
Digital Mosaic is a screen-based format rather than a physical tiled wall. Discuss the display, image submission method and final digital output. A remote or hybrid contribution route needs to be agreed as part of the brief; it is not automatically included with another booth booking.
4. Graffiti Wall: give guests a digital canvas
The Graffiti Wall lets guests create artwork using digital spray cans, without physical paint. It can offer a more hands-on activity during a creative-industry dinner or awards party. AI Line 2 Life is optional; confirm whether you want that transformation stage, the artwork theme and the delivery arrangements.
5. AI Experience: create themed portrait transformations
The AI Experience reimagines portrait captures in an agreed creative style. Review examples with your event team and leave time to approve the theme. AI-generated results can vary. Confirm digital delivery and any printing requirements rather than treating it as conventional event photography.
6. Signature GLAM: photograph black-tie portraits
Signature GLAM uses controlled studio lighting, bespoke monochrome processing and a black or white backdrop. It creates photographed black-and-white portraits with prints, digital sharing and attendant support during the agreed hire. Review the portrait finish and print layout, especially if sponsor branding needs to remain legible.
7. Luxury Oak or ICON: attended colour photography
The Luxury Oak Booth and ICON Booth offer colour photographs, prints and digital sharing with attendant support. Choose the equipment style, confirm a suitable backdrop and approve the print artwork. Position the setup where guests can find it without disrupting table service or speeches.

8. Digital Booth: a self-service, print-free option
The Digital Booth provides digital captures without prints. Delivery, installation, testing, collection and remote support are included; an attendant does not normally stay on site. A large freestanding backdrop is not supplied as standard. Agree the capture options and a practical contact who can liaise with remote support if needed.
Plan the installation around your gala
Choose a clear purpose: a guest keepsake, sponsor visibility or a shared artwork. Then agree how you will assess it. A completed capture, an image download and a public social post are different outcomes; guests choose whether to participate or share.
MooMuu can provide data capture for corporate events. Agree the fields, purpose, guest choices, consent wording and delivery beforehand. Keep that brief separate from visual branding, and do not assume that a capture becomes a qualified lead or donation.
Check the full unloading route, power, operating area and installation window. Luxury Oak cannot be carried up or down stairs; a suitable lift or ramp route needs assessment. Allow space for guests watching and waiting, particularly during arrivals.
MooMuu does not supply props. Additional flowers, furniture and decorative structures need separate arrangements unless expressly included in the quote. Share the dinner, awards and speech timings so the proposed operating hours and guest support fit the evening.
Shortlist your gala experience
Send MooMuu your gala date, venue and preferred formats, including guest numbers, operating hours and branding requirements. You can also compare the experiences first. An enquiry or availability check does not reserve your date; the quote and booking confirmation set out the agreed service.
