How to Plan a Glam Photo Booth Setup

Plan Signature GLAM with a practical checklist for monochrome portraits, backdrop, lighting, space, setup time, staffing, personalised prints and sharing.

A successful glam photo booth setup brings the portrait style, venue and guest journey together. For MooMuu’s Signature GLAM Booth, the starting point is black-and-white photography with controlled studio lighting and bespoke image processing.

Choose the look because you like the finished portraits, then plan the surroundings to support it. This checklist covers the decisions to make with MooMuu, your venue and any other event suppliers before the first guest steps into the light.

1. Review the portrait finish first

Look at genuine Signature GLAM examples, including couples and groups. Check the black-and-white treatment, lighting and composition rather than choosing solely from an equipment photograph. Agree that monochrome portraiture is the result you want.

A colour palette for the room and a monochrome photographic finish are different design decisions. You can coordinate them without assuming the photograph will reproduce the colours of your flowers, clothing or campaign artwork.

2. Choose a position with controllable light

Share venue photographs and tell us about windows, coloured uplighting, reflective surfaces and nearby lighting equipment. The portrait area needs consistent lighting conditions; a position that looks dramatic in the room is not automatically the right place for the camera.

Keep the booth noticeable without putting it in a service route or beside a competing queue. Agree any changes to surrounding lights with MooMuu and the venue rather than moving the booth or adjusting lighting during the event.

3. Confirm space, power and installation access

The required footprint depends on the backdrop and selected setup. Ask MooMuu to confirm the operating dimensions, ceiling clearance, access route and space for posing, waiting and collecting photographs. The equipment footprint alone does not describe the full guest area.

Agree access to a standard mains power socket and allow up to one hour for installation and configuration, separate from guest operating time. Indoor use is preferred. Any outdoor or marquee arrangement needs prior agreement on enclosure, weather protection, flooring, power and lighting.

4. Keep the portrait setting simple

Choose a clean black or white backdrop for Signature GLAM. Discuss any draping, reflective decorations or additional lighting near the setup so they support the photography. Confirm what is part of the booth package and what another styling supplier will provide.

MooMuu does not supply props. The experience focuses on portraits and guided posing. If you are considering bringing accessories, read our client-supplied styling guidance and discuss suitability before the event.

5. Approve the printed and digital presentation

Signature GLAM includes printed photographs and digital sharing. Confirm the print format, quantities and personalised artwork in the chosen package. Check names, dates and brand details at their finished size before giving approval.

If you want a photo guestbook, agree the book, additional photo and attendant assistance explicitly. An on-the-night keepsake book and a digital gallery are different outputs. Tell us which matters to you so the quotation covers the right provision.

6. Give guests a clear invitation and time to enjoy it

A MooMuu attendant is included during the agreed operating period to guide guests and manage the booth. Plan opening hours around the actual schedule, allowing for speeches, dinner, presentations and other moments when guests will be occupied.

Share expected attendance and whether people will join in couples, groups or individually. Leave room to step away after collecting photos, and keep participation optional. Discuss any access or assistance needs beforehand rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all layout.

7. Plan sharing and any corporate data capture

Agree the available QR code, SMS or email delivery options and venue connectivity. If Wi-Fi or mobile signal is limited, discuss the delivery approach before the event. Confirm the gallery or post-event handover and how long files remain available.

MooMuu can provide data capture for corporate briefs. Agree the information requested, its purpose and guest-facing wording separately from the portrait design. Receiving a photograph does not automatically give permission for marketing or guarantee public social sharing.

8. Share one coordinated brief

Give MooMuu your date, venue, guest numbers, operating hours, preferred backdrop and print artwork. Include the floor plan, supplier access times and any restrictions. Our design-led photo booth guide explains how the installation can sit within the wider event.

Before the day, confirm who approves artwork, who is the venue contact and who receives any guestbook or gallery afterwards. Clear decisions leave the event team free to welcome guests and concentrate on the portraits.
