Is Sketch Bot Hire Right for Your Wedding?
Understand the Sketch Bot guest experience, the finished artwork and the practical checks that help you decide whether it suits your wedding.
Sketch Bot hire suits couples who like the idea of guests watching their own illustrated keepsake take shape. The drawing is part of the entertainment, not just something collected afterwards. Start by looking at the artwork and the guest experience, then decide whether they fit the wedding you want to host.
MooMuu’s AI Sketch Bots turn guest photographs into illustrations that robotic arms draw with real pen on paper. Standard packages include two bots. The four-bot setup pictured is a larger configuration; the number for your wedding is agreed around your guest numbers, chosen style and operating time.

What do guests actually do?
A guest poses for a photograph at the capture point. The image is processed into the selected illustration style, then a bot draws the portrait. A MooMuu attendant guides participation and collection. Guests do not need to sit still for the whole drawing as they would for some forms of live portraiture.
Watching the pen move gives nearby guests something to follow while a portrait develops. Keep the invitation simple and show an example of the finished drawing. Some people will want a portrait, others may prefer to watch; participation should feel welcoming rather than compulsory.
When is it a good fit?
Consider Sketch Bots if you want individual artwork and a visible creative process. They can offer an alternative activity alongside conversation or dancing, provided the operating period matches your schedule. The right moment might be a drinks reception or an evening session, not necessarily every part of the day.
The experience needs a planned position with room for capture, viewing and collection. Think about your actual guests’ needs, including seated participation or help following the process, instead of assuming that interest in technology follows age. Discuss access requirements with MooMuu before the layout is final.
How is it different from a photo booth?
A Sketch Bot produces an illustrated interpretation. If your priority is a photograph showing outfits and expressions in colour, compare the Luxury Oak Booth or the ICON Booth. For studio-lit black-and-white photographs, Signature GLAM offers a different finish from a line drawing.
A human illustrator offers their own artistic style and approach to working with guests. A Sketch Bot follows the drawing paths with a standard pen held by its robotic arm. Neither is automatically faster or better: compare real samples, the proposed output and achievable capacity for the actual hire period. A human illustrator is a separate supplier service.
Choose the artwork you would like to keep
Look at the starting photograph beside the finished Sketch Bot portrait, as in the example below. Check whether the line style, detail and background appeal to you. AI results are creative interpretations and can vary; a sample shows the chosen direction rather than guaranteeing an identical result for every guest.

Names, dates and a wedding-themed background can be discussed as part of the artwork brief. Confirm the paper presentation and digital-copy arrangements too. MooMuu does not supply props; the experience centres on the portrait and drawing, with any accessories you want to bring discussed in advance.
Check the practical fit
Sketch Bots use cloud-based processing and need reliable internet, suitable power and an agreed operating area. Ask the venue about connectivity at the proposed position, not just whether Wi-Fi exists somewhere in the building. Share any outdoor plans or restricted supplier access before committing to a layout.
Capacity depends on the bot count, illustration style and time available. Drawing time alone does not include every part of posing, processing and collecting. Give MooMuu your expected attendance and running order so the proposed setup can be assessed realistically.
Decide on the experience, then plan the details
If your favourite part is seeing a personal drawing created live, Sketch Bots may be a strong fit. If you mainly want group photo prints or a shared artwork for the whole wedding, another experience may suit that aim better. You do not need several installations to give guests a worthwhile activity.
Once you have chosen the format, use our wedding Sketch Bot planning guide to work through timing, space and artwork approvals. Keep the decision about the experience separate from the practical checklist for delivering it.
Ask MooMuu about Sketch Bots for your wedding with your date, venue and guest numbers. An enquiry or availability check does not reserve your date; we can help confirm the right configuration before you book.
