Guide to Mosaic Wall Event Installation
Plan a MooMuu Mosaic Wall installation with clear guidance on the included ICON Booth, operating space, power, artwork, guest flow and final handover.
A physical Mosaic Wall is more than the finished board: it is a photography area, tile station and shared artwork that guests help build. Plan the whole setup before finalising the room layout.
This guide covers practical installation decisions for corporate events and brand activations, from access and artwork to the final handover.

1. Confirm which mosaic you are booking
Mosaic Wall Live includes an ICON Booth. Guests take a photograph, receive a keepsake print and a second, coded tile, then place the tile on the physical wall. MooMuu’s team manages the booth, guest flow and mosaic build.
The separate Digital Mosaic accepts photographs through a QR code or branded link and builds on screen, including contributions from remote guests. It needs its own internet, display and monitoring plan. Do not use the physical-wall specification for that experience.
2. Allow for operating space, not just wall size
- Finished artwork: a 700-tile wall is approximately 1.4m × 1.25m.
- Operating space: allow approximately 3m × 3m, depending on wall size, then confirm the complete layout with MooMuu.
- Power: the published requirement is one standard UK socket within 10 metres.
- Access: the included ICON Booth needs suitable step-free access.
Share the route from unloading to the setup position, including doors, lifts and any restrictions. Confirm the socket position and safe cable route with MooMuu and your venue. The finished wall dimensions are not the footprint of the entire activity.
3. Choose a position guests can use comfortably
Keep the wall visible, with room to approach the booth, collect prints, place tiles and step back to see the larger image. Avoid obstructing doors, service routes or nearby activities. A queue should not become the only way through the room.
Think about lighting during the actual operating hours, not just during setup. Tell MooMuu about planned lighting changes and discuss assistance for guests who may need help with instructions, reach or positioning. Participation should remain optional.
4. Approve the artwork and styling
Send a clear, high-quality portrait, logo or campaign image for suitability checks. The master image needs to read from a distance while the individual photographs remain interesting close up. Fine lettering or a busy composition may need simplifying.
Agree the image, wall header and print artwork before the production deadline. MooMuu does not supply props. Specialist framing, florals and additional set dressing are separate arrangements unless confirmed in your proposal; keep decorations clear of equipment and tile placement.
5. Match the tile plan to the available time
Share expected guest numbers and when people can take part. The tile plan is not a guarantee of unique participants or an hourly throughput figure. A conference break and a long reception need different operating plans.

Agree the build period, intended reveal time and how the artwork will be completed if contributions arrive more slowly than expected. Do not rely on every attendee taking part. MooMuu can help plan a realistic contribution flow around your schedule.
6. Separate setup from guest operating hours
Confirm delivery, installation and breakdown access alongside the period when guests can use the experience. Give MooMuu the venue contact and running order, including speeches, dining, room changes and other entertainment.
Outdoor or marquee plans need suitability approval in advance. Share weather protection, floor conditions, lighting and access details rather than assuming any covered area will work. For wedding planning, coordinate the reveal with your venue or planner so it fits the reception.
7. Plan the keepsakes and handover
The guest’s print and the coded wall tile have different purposes. If you also want a photo guestbook, include the book, another photograph for the page and attendant assistance in the quote. Keep the guest’s own print and the wall tile for their intended uses.
The completed physical artwork is yours to keep unless the proposal states otherwise. Agree who receives it, how it will leave the venue and how it will be transported safely. Confirm framing or any additional gallery or digital files separately.
Before accepting the proposal, check that the artwork, full footprint, power, access, staffing, operating window and handover all match the plan. That gives your event team a useful checklist for the day.
Plan your MooMuu mosaic experience
Compare the MooMuu collection, then enquire about the physical Mosaic Wall Live or ask about Digital Mosaic. Share your date or approximate month, venue, guest numbers and the image you would like to build. Tell us whether people will participate on-site, remotely or both.
